Under the direct administration of China's Ministry of Education, Zhejiang University is a key comprehensive university of the nation. Zhejiang University is at present one of the biggest universities in China in terms of student enrollment and the most comprehensive in fields of study. It enjoys the national reputation as one of the top universities in China for its academic strength and its favourable campus culture.

Zhejiang University has academic links with about 150 universities in over a dozen countries and regions, such as the United States, Germany, Great Britain, France, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Canada, Portages, Australia, Japan, Korea, etc. The university has been conducting various programs of international cooperation, including student and scholar exchange, international conferences, joint research projects and joint training of graduate students.

Approved by the Ministry of Education, Zhejiang University Center of Overseas Studies is a university-run company specialized in the provision of consultation and service for those within the province who wish to pursue further studies abroad.

Zhejiang University Center of Overseas Studies is located in the Yi Fu Science &
Technology Building, Xi Xi Campus of Zhejiang University. It provides following services:
--- Consultation on overseas study policies and regulations;
--- Provision of information about systems and features of high education in various countries;
--- Provision of information about foreign educational institutions willing to enroll Chinese students and related application procedures;
--- Provision of information and consultation on immigration policies and regulations of various countries related with overseas students and of service concerning student visa application;
--- Provision of language training courses to help student to meet the language requirements for the admission to foreign colleges and universities;
--- Organization of short term studies abroad for students in Zhejiang Province.

In order to meet various needs of Chinese students to study abroad, the Center is looking forward to establishing long-term cooperation relationship with universities, colleges and educational institutes in all countries recruiting international students.
